Created in March of 2022, Divine centers the healing of sexual violence survivors in all we do. Beginning with our CEO, Guissella, sharing her survivor story, we encourage survivors (who feel comfortable) to allow their voices to be heard and their experiences to be validated by Divine. Therefore, we aim to cultivate a space that protects survivors, disrupts r*pe culture, and allows survivors to be in the driver’s seat of their advocacy and recovery. We give survivors the opportunity to control the narrative that is often stolen from them to allow for collective healing and growth.

Divine originated out of the desire to shed light on the consequences of sexual violence, specifically image-based sexual abuse and revictimization trends among young people. We dedicate our candles to BIPOC survivors to empower them to take back their narratives and share their stories. Additionally, Divine provides resources to encourage survivors’ communities and families to become trauma informed and encourage survivor healing.  Our website features a list of mental health resources and legal services to increase access and support for marginalized survivor populations.

Uplifting survivors' stories, one candle at a time.

Our Mission

Divine is dedicated to addressing image-based sexual violence and the revictimization of youth and adolescents within BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. We are devoted to empowering survivors to share their story and aim to uplift the experiences of survivors who experienced sexual violence in their childhoods. We encourage allies and activists  to be trauma-informed to better support and uplift survivors of sexual violence.

Our Process

We hand pour each of our candles with love. Our candles are organic, vegan, sustainably sourced, and 100% soy with 100% cotton wicks. Our candles are non-toxic, cruelty free, with no lead, plastic, parabens, phthalates, or  synthetic dyes. All our materials are sourced from vendors who pay their employees livable  wages. Our candles are hand crafted and uniquely made by survivors, for survivors.

Our Impact

100% of our profit goes towards uplifting survivors of sexual violence via research and educational efforts on a university scale.  Eventually we aim to utilize our profits to propose  legislation that further protects survivors of sexual violence and improves our country’s current process for reporting victimization.
